Support for men

Available exclusively at our clinic in Salt Lake City.

The sad truth is men rarely have someone to talk to. Now you do.

At the PRC, we’ve created a space specifically designed for you to navigate your thoughts and concerns.

So, you think she might be pregnant…

HERE’S WHAT TO DO:

  • She needs your support now more than ever. To help show your support, go with her for the pregnancy test appointment.  If she is pregnant, she may already be overwhelmed by hormonal changes that can have a great effect on her.  Having your support will reassure her that you care.

  • Talk with each other and prepare to talk with parents and others who are close to the situation.

  • Get all the information and seek wise counsel to make the best decision for both of you.  The staff at the Pregnancy Resource Center is here to help you create a plan and explore your options.

  • It is normal to have feelings of anger, frustration, and fear. But make sure she knows she is not alone.

  • She may be carrying the baby, but you both share responsibility for this situation. Regardless of your relationship in the future, the baby needs you too.

It’s not just her responsibility.

An unplanned pregnancy can cause a huge strain on a relationship. The thought a raising a child may have been the last thing on your mind. But right now, it’s important that you don’t emotionally check out and leave her alone to make the decision.

The first thing you need to do is find out if she really is pregnant.  Then, you need to learn about your options

The PRC provides free pregnancy tests and limited ultrasound exams that will provide answers to many of the questions you have right now. We understand that this can be a difficult and emotionally overwhelming situation.

You need accurate information on all your options in order to make an informed decision. We are here to provide that information on abortion, adoption and parenting.

You’re not alone. Join a community of supportive men.

  • The Pregnancy Resource Center has male mentors who meet twice a month with groups of guys who are going through the same journey as you.

Why not come along to learn tools that will help improve your communication, help plan finances, understand and express your own needs, and more.

  • While the final pregnancy decision does lie with the expectant mom, your actions and engagement can make a huge difference in her decision-making.

Women facing unplanned pregnancies commonly feel the full weight of responsibility, making abortion feel like her only decision.

If you can show her that you care, and that you are willing to support her, you put all three of her pregnancy decisions back on the table.

Together, you can make the pregnancy choice that best aligns with your values and future goals.

  • We get it. The thought of becoming a father can be overwhelming.

Whether or not you had a present father in your life, you now have the choice to be a present and engaged dad to your son or daughter.

You don't have to walk this path alone. We're here for you.
